I have to admit I had some hesitation about doing an interracial dating article, because it was my first time ever trying to find a dating profile from a different race. I know, it's not a lot of dating information to sift through, and a couple of people might be offended, but I was concerned about getting people's names and ages wrong. As it turned out, though, it was a lot easier than I imagined, and I really enjoyed it.

The first thing I noticed was that there were actually a couple of good stories for interracial dating. One was a female who came out to her white friends as an interracial woman who wanted to date someone from another race. Another was a guy who came out as a Caucasian male who was interested in a black girl. My next question was what I could do as a dating profile. Here are the first couple of pages of my interracial dating profile. The story of the girl in the picture below is that she's currently on a date with a Hispanic male who has lived in Florida for a couple of years. He lives in a large condo complex where he can live at the same time as her. She tells him about her life, her family, her family's lives, her background, etc. This guy is not racist but he is very accepting and she is very happy with his presence. I have a few questions I'd like to ask this guy: 1. Have you ever dated a black guy? 2. Did you have a girlfriend before? What about a boyfriend? 3. Do you have any friends who are black? 4. Any other ethnic groups that you're friends with? How do they relate to you? How do you relate to them? I think that if you can answer some of these questions I'll be all the more happy to date you. Thanks! :)

Anonymous wrote: Hi there, I have always wanted to ask you about your dating life, so let me ask this: Is it true that your girlfriend is from another ethnic background? I would imagine that she is very similar to yourself in terms of height, build, etc. So I'd imagine she is more African-American than she is white. Can you share with me her family, her education, anything that may assist in my answer? If I were to know the difference between you and her I would be willing to have her as my girlfriend. It would be my first date but I'd be happy to help you out with anything else you may need in the future.

Anonymous wrote: Hi, my name is Ashley. I'm a Caucasian woman who is dating a Black man from South Florida. I'm 21 and am very shy around men but that is not a bad thing. I've known him since I was 13 and we've both been together for 5 years now. I'm very excited to be dating someone new. His name is Brandon, and we met on OkCupid a couple of years ago and have been seeing each other every month or so since. I know that you have a white man in Florida so I thought I would give you an idea of what we are like. He's from Tampa and is from a poor family so he doesn't have many friends or people he can socialize with. I also have a black boyfriend from a small town in Georgia, who I also met on OkCupid. I'm not racist. If you like that, that's great. I'm just saying that there is still a lot of racism in this country and in our society. I know this is hard to understand for you because I'm white. But we are just like you. The problem with our society, is it does not give you the same respect and opportunity as black men. You're more likely to be arrested, killed, and/or have your life ruined for being different. We're just like you. And we want the same things you do.

A little bit about me:

I'm a 24 year old female, but I have had a very positive influence on my sister's life since she was younger. I've always been a girl's girl. I've always had a crush on all of my friends, and I have always found girls extremely attractive. I'm a "fantasy girl" type, which makes it more of a challenge to find a date. I don't want to be a "date guy." I want to be someone that girls will date.

I feel like all these things make me "different" from the other boys out here. So, my advice is to be yourself. Be outgoing, outgoing, outgoing. Be confident. If you are the kind of person that is confident, I will respect you. I think girls want a guy who is confident. That's all. I am so happy that you made it all the way through this. You have a lot of ideas of what you want to do, which I love to hear. I know this isn't the first time you have been reading about interracial dating, so I encourage you to keep an open mind and see how things develop. This is a wonderful time of year and the dating world is a much bigger and more varied place than it was a few years ago. I hope that you get to know some of the girls and guys I have shared these stories with, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Enjoy, and keep those fantasies of getting a girl from another country alive in your mind. All of your new friends are going to be really nice people, so you don't have to worry about that. I know the idea of having to date only one or two girls may not be your idea of fun, so if that's the case, keep on reading!
